SAFCA: Achievements, Prospects and Dynamics

   FOTSO group entity engaged in the manufacture and distribution of books in Cameroon and the Central African sub-region, the company SAFCA was created in 1970 in Yaoundé where installed its headquarters and factory. In the early 80s, she began the relocation of the factory towards the industrial area Bonabéri-Douala.
In 1997, the structure of the market leader and renowned especially for the quality and durability of its products, transfers its registered office in Douala. In 2001, the company conducts SAFCA new directions in order to consolidate its leadership. The Turnaround Strategy

In 2002 the company, because of its position on the market considering the expansion of its services to the printing industry. To do this, it makes the merger of the company FABASEM (also group entity FOTSO) challenger in the printing industry in Cameroon. Following a desire to broaden its scope in the field of sanitation within homes and offices, the company conducts SAFCA in 2004 to a merger of the company SOPICAM, a national leader in the production and distribution insecticides and air fresheners.

 
The new challenge

 SAFCA, leading national and sub-regional manufacturing specifications and the production of insecticides and deodorants, has just made a huge breakthrough, which greatly increases the quality of its services and its production capacity by acquiring a unit print new generation fully automated operation since February 2011.
Previously forced to go abroad to perform specific jobs, industries, restricted by the time and cost, now have local solutions that enable them to fulfill huge economies of scale and improve responsiveness, while avoiding the logistical bottleneck is the import.
